The Opening Night of the Egyptian Food Festival at
Avari Towers on 29th April was a great success.There were so many authentic Egyptian dishes that were beautifully prepared including the dish that is considered to be the National Dish of Egypt in places like Alexandria,Kushari,which was rice with macaroni and tomato sauce.I really liked the Chicken Shawarma since it was light and well balanced in terms of flavour.I enjoyed the Zalabia balls and the Roast Chicken but it was a little dry.The Lamb Fatteh was delicious and everything in that dish went really well with each other as well as the Dajaj Kabsa.It was aromatic and flavoursome and the the rice was cooked to perfection.My favourite dish was the Lamb Moussaka! Vegetables and meat topped with Tomato sauce and cheese and then baked🙌🏻🌚 Really loved this since the vegetables were perfectly cooked and the gooey cheese on top was just divine.You should definitely visit Avari for this Festival if you’re a fan of Egyptian food! It is till the 7th of May.
